We create our own reality:  The Power of Responsibility.

????????????????????????????????????????Usually we are taught that if something is wrong in our life it is due to the circumstances that surround us. However, to create your right life and achieve your dreams, you must also take advantage of the power of responsibility, starting with you and your life, no matter what your current circumstances look like. In fact, according to research, the circumstances of our life explain only 10 percent of our level of happiness, the rest is explained by the decisions one makes and our genetics.

Dr. Winston Morton, professor of philosophy, explains that the virtue of responsibility involves practicing some skills such as:

  1. Being sensitive to the moral aspects of one’s behavior [Is my behavior healthy or unhealthy for me and for others?
  2. Evaluate our decision-making process. For example, what kind of behavior can I choose to solve the problem for the greatest benefit of myself and everyone?

Therefore, transforming one’s life means taking responsibility for:

  1. Our thoughts. Are we choosing thoughts that express the truth in any situation? Are we working to transform our unhealthy thoughts into others that will bring us well-being and love?
  2. Our feelings. Do our feelings reflect the truth in any situation? Are we transforming our painful feelings into peaceful and joyful ones?
  3. Our actions and their consequences in our daily life. Being a responsible person on a personal level means, for instance, choosing to be in a relationship where you feel calm and happy instead of angry and anxious; or choosing a profession that you love, instead of one that others think will make you happy.

At a national and global level it means taking responsibility for the positive and negative things that are happening in our countries and around the world and taking measures to improve or change things.

If each of us denies being responsible for our thoughts, feelings and actions, the consequences will be that things will remain the same in our lives, or they will probably get worse. At the level of the Spirit, our unhealthy thoughts, feelings and actions cause a dense current of energy that pollutes our environment and affects our emotional health. We can create a purest and healthiest collective energy that helps us to be happier every day.

Responsibility is a virtue! And it can transform your whole life!

How to make a dream come true!

dreamstime_xs_19411440Creating your best life begins with dreaming what you really want to create or achieve in your life. One of the most beautiful things I found out as I was directing my professional career from traditional psychology to positive psychology and Life Coaching and is that a human being can achieve dreams and transform their life into the one you really want and love. Regardless of the life circumstances you are experiencing now, you can always dream about a better life at no cost to you; but when doing so, you need to take into account the following:

  1. What’s the dream you want to achieve? Is it connected to your soul? Do you really want to achieve that goal or is it something that you want to reach just because you see others wanting the same thing. The universe is willing to give us the things we desire, but especially the ones that will nurture and serve our soul and spiritual evolution. Remember, we are spiritual beings having human experiences.
  2. Check your intention. Ask yourself why do you want to achieve that dream or goal? Connect it to your positive values and virtues. The Universal intelligence or God will connect your wishes with your true intention.
  3. Connect your dream or goal to the energy of love and wisdom of the universe. Believe it or not we are in constant evolution, and our world is a living one, it matters if we are living with integrity and love or not. Every thought, positive or negative has power. Choose positive ones for you and others, including the people that you might not like much.
  4. Do the work. As a well-known psychologist in the area of positive psychology, Dr. Lubomirsky says, “happiness is work.” We cannot achieve a small or big dream if we are not willing to do the internal work in ourselves, and to take action when needed, even if it is required to take on a new or big challenge.
  5. Be patient when you are achieving your dreams. It means that as important as it is to dream, to work, and to be patient, you must also surrender everything to God or the Universal intelligence. Thus, you will be co-creating your dreams with God, giving God the final saying on the shape or size of the dream you want to achieve.

Dream, do the Work and surrender your dreams to God!
